Ed is a spirit who's not for beginner spirit keepers. I was given Ed, who's attached to this Chucky doll, by an acquaintance of mine. He acquired the vessel from an estate sale. Ed has been a bit of a handful since he came into my home, and he's not the kind of spirit I like to live with because he's malicious and a bit of a trickster. When asking him about his life and trying to learn his backstory, he simply told me to f*** off. His personality is honestly, in many ways, similar to the actual Chucky from the movies. For one, I feel like he's searching for ways to unalive me and become a bit violent at times. Living with Ed has been interesting, to say the least. One thing to note is that there were often strange whispers in the dead of night coming from his doll. This would wake my dog, who would then begin barking and growling at Ed's vessel.
The other night I was in the kitchen making dinner when the room suddenly grew cold. Glancing over my shoulder, there he was—the Chucky doll positioned in a way I had not left it, with a menacing grin that seemed slightly wider. Then suddenly, I felt a sharp jolt against my ankle, almost as if someone had deliberately kicked me. Looking down, there was nothing—or rather, no one—there. Ed has all the signs of a restless and hostile spirit.
Once, I came home to find unexplainable scratches on my wall, as if someone had taken their nails and dragged them down. Everyone confirmed my suspicion that it was Ed. There was a time period when he was messing with electronics, and my phone would receive random calls from unknown numbers that were filled with what I believe to be Ed’s creepy laugh.
Despite this, there were rare moments when I felt an odd connection with Ed. Sometimes, after particularly intense episodes, there would be a sweet, almost sad vibe in the air. These moments made me wonder about the life he lived and what drove him to these extremes in the afterlife.
Though getting to know Ed may be difficult, I can't help but feel that understanding his torment, and perhaps helping him find peace, might be what he genuinely needs. Until then, tread carefully, as who knows what Ed might do next. He has shown the ability to communicate through divination tools.
